People

We were established in 2011 from a place of passion and ethical frustration. Our practices today reflect our founding values and contribute to the bigger picture.

At Dear Green our core values were never decided upon by a 'Corporate and Social Responsibility' statement, instead, they have been engrained in our everyday practices from the very start. This is all thanks to the experiences, beliefs, and standards of our founder and the team who have been hand-picked to grow our business. From humble beginnings as a start-up, we are now positioned as a business that we believe can be a force for good! We're all about quality coffee and excellent customer service but we keep it real with solid ethical practices. Here's how:

Ethical Employer

Maybe if we had been treated well by our past employers, we wouldn't have started a company! Based on some terrible previous employment experiences we have always done everything we can to ensure our team is never underpaid, undervalued, or discriminated against. We have open conversations about career progression within our diverse team, we provide training and professional development opportunities and we've never hired anyone to work on less than the Real Living Wage; in fact, we go one step further by also being Living Hours and Living Pension accredited and having an ever evolving wellbeing program in place. We care about our staff and in turn, they care about our customers! #teamdeargreen

Customer Focus

We serve our customers as we would like to be served and we welcome any feedback that supports our continual improvement. If you have signed up to our mailing list you will receive regular surveys to keep us informed and progressing to be better. If you have feedback for us we would love to hear from you! Get in touch!
We believe in nurturing strong coffee partnerships, growing our business alongside those of our wholesale partners, and creating a rewarding journey and coffee experience for all.

Community
Our community of people is all of those in our extended network. From the international network of coffee producers, exporters, importers, and manufacturers in our supply chain, to the baristas who prepare coffee in the businesses we supply and our local coffee community. Our mission is to engage, learn, and grow together, to treat everyone with respect, to break down barriers, and to bring people together, fairly.
