Daniela Duque is a pivotal figure in the Colombian specialty coffee scene, renowned for her leadership at Hacienda La Rochela, a family-owned farm situated in the municipality of Trujillo, Valle del Cauca. As a third-generation coffee producer, Daniela brings a blend of tradition and innovation to her farm, which spans approximately 100 hectares and is nestled at high elevations. The idyllic location, along with Daniela’s hands-on approach to post-harvest processing and dedication to quality control have been instrumental in elevating the farm's coffee to international acclaim.
Hacienda La Rochela is known for its cultivation of premium coffee varieties, including Geisha, Java and, of course, Pacamara! Pacamara is a highly prized coffee variety with a distinctive flavour profile, large bean size, and unique genetic heritage. It is known and loved for it’s high quality and complexity, often possessing fruity and floral characteristics.
This Pacamara is manually harvested at peak ripeness, before undergoing an 180 hour anaerobic fermentation. The coffee is then dried on African beds in a low position for 3 days, then is moved to a high bed to complete the drying process and reaching around a 12.5% moisture content.

TIPS
