I went in quite terrified, but was made to feel very relaxed quite quickly, as everybody there was so lovely and friendly. The place itself is amazing to be in as it’s also the roastery, so it was amazing getting to see the roaster and seeing where the coffee beans for our cafe come from. The course was incredible, so much information and very interactive, which helped keep it very fascinating. I had already been working as a barista for a little while before the course, so it was great to go on and learn the correct way of doing certain things, and be able to have the knowledge now. I am more determined now to work towards a coffee diploma, and can’t wait for another trip back!
We're so glad that you didn't stay terrified for too long, we are indeed a friendly bunch! Thanks so much for a lovely review! We can't wait to welcome you back to join more classes! Lets get you that Diploma! ;)
I had a great day attending the introductory coffee barista training at Dear Green. The course went through all aspects production from the origins, growing, harvesting and brewing. It was really informative, interactive and extra special with Dear Green being some of the founders of speciality coffee and at the forefront of the scene in Scotland. It took place in the headquarters which doubles as a roastery and training area so the atmosphere was great. Really recommend and I will be following up with other courses!
Thanks for such great feedback Bex and congrats on an ace result first time! You're a natural! We can't wait to welcome you back to Dear Green HQ again soon!
