For a fourth year running, we’ve worked with the amazing Karst Organics to bring a delicious offering from Timor-Leste! We’re taking it back to where it all started in our relationship, with a coffee from the Rotutu Cooperative, the first coffee we roasted from this unique coffee origin.
On a remote island in Southeast Asia, Timor-Leste lies between Indonesia and Australia, a land of lush mountains, rich culture, and a complex past. Colonised by Portugal in the 1600s, annexed by Indonesia in 1975, and finally independent in 2002, this young nation is reclaiming its future with coffee at the heart of it.
Grown organically beneath the shade of native trees, this fully washed coffee is carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness. After pulping, it’s fermented, washed, and dried on African raised beds to ensure clarity and consistency in every cup.
With delicious tasting notes of tangerine, molasses and redbush tea, this coffee is available once more to experience for yourselves!
