Catch Us At Glasgow Coffee Festival

It's the most wonderful time of the year......no not that one.......we're talking about Glasgow Coffee Festival! In case you've been in hibernation for the past 10 years, we've been throwing Scotland's biggest coffee part for a loooonnnnggg time now! We can't believe it's been 10 years already! As always we'll be there to bring you the tastiest coffee we have to offer alongside a few surprises! Read on to find out what we're up to across the full weekend of GCF 2024!

Awake Your Senses: Sensory Experience

Ever wondered how we profile our coffee for it's ultimate flavour balance and identify tasting notes? Maybe you've always wanted to have a go at doing it yourself! Well come along to our booth to be immersed in a sensory journey!  Experience three of our coffees, broken down into sensory flavour profiles, calibrate your olfactory with us and identify your own taste notes! Remember, there is no wrong answer! Taste is subjective (until you've calibrated!) and this is going to be a fun experience!

All day Saturday & Sunday on the Dear Green stand!

Try Our New Gesha

We obviously couldn't come to GCF without bringing along an extra special exclusive coffee! This year we worked with Forest Coffee to source an incredible Gesha from the world famous El Vergel in Tolima, Colombia. Processed using the experimental Carbonic Maceration, this coffee scored a massive 88 specialty points! We'll be serving this one-of-a-kind coffee all weekend and will also have beans available for you to brew at home!

All day Saturday & Sunday on the Dear Green stand!

10 Years of GCF: Panel Discussion

Our founder Lisa will be joined by a panel of GCF supporters from through the years, to chart our first 10 years and discuss our plans for the future! Lisa will be joined by Paul Kelly (La Marzocco), Laura Chamberlain (Oatly) and James Aitken (Us V Them). 

Saturday 11th from 11:15-12:00pm in the Gallery Room. 

Meet the Importer: Forest Coffee

On Saturday 11th we have the honour of being joined by the Forest Coffee team, Alejandra and Roosa (straight back from her World Barista Championship experience!). Both will be on hand to introduce our incredible new Gesha, to answer any questions, to brew this delicious coffee and to tell us all about the journey this sensational coffee took on its way to our roastery.

Saturday 11th from 16:30-18:00 on the Dear Green Stand

 

Martha & Karina: Climate Justice for Smallholder Coffee Farmers

Our Sustainability Coordinator will present a talk alongside Karina Paved Cato titles Climate Justice for Smallholder Coffee Farmers. The talk will introduce a Costa Rican case study, highlighting the struggles of climate adaptation for smallholder coffee farmers in Latin America. This talk will aim to make the other end of the supply chain more approachable and help you gain appreciation for the skills farmers have adapted to begin fighting climate change. 

Sunday 12th from 14:45-15:30 in the Talks Room.

Cup With Us: Hosted by Anna & Kris

Join Anna & Kris as they take you on a journey of exploration, through 10 of our incredible single origin coffees sourced from across the globe. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the excitement of cupping, the same process we use in our roastery to evaluate coffee. If past years are anything to go by, then this is going to be a busy one so get there early!

Sunday 12th from 15:45-16:30 in the Cupping Room. 

Lind & Lime x Dear Green Coffee

We're teaming up with the legends at Lind & Lime to bring the very best coffee together with the very best Gin! Lind & Lime will be creating some delicious coffee cocktails, including a coffee Negroni! Come along and give it a go!
